Accidentally bought a messenger bag with leather on it. Please help?

I brought by accident a messenger bag with some suede on it for 2 dollars at a thrift store and I'm a vegan. I should have know this, but it didn't have any tags on it since I seen it at a thrift store. Please don't say, but you should know that since you were vegan, I didn't even see the suede until 2 days after I brought it. I'm either going to give it my sister, since it is actually(as I'm reading on the internet) either a girl messenger bag or even get this a purse! A 22 year old boy might have bought a purse! The thing is I really want either a R.E Load messenger bag or a Chrome messenger bag bad(those don't have leather on them), but as you should know those cost $100+ and I'm a little short on that kinda of cash right now. You think if I go behind a store that sells either a R.E Load or a Chrome I might be able to dumpster dive for one?
