In high school, we read a short story about a city in the future in which it rains every day of the year. There is one day a year that it doesn't rain, just for a few minutes, and the story follows the schoolchildren who wait in anticipation for this day. When it finally comes around, one of the children locks the other up in a closet. So he/she was about to miss the one day of sun in the entire year. Finally, the teacher discovers the child and he doesn't miss the day, and he plays outside for the couple of minutes that it doesn't rain along with the rest of the children. Does anyone know what this story is called? Or who wrote it? Thanks!
