If my alternator belt is squeaking does that mean its going to give out in a day or two?

97 prelude. after driving for a while, the serpentine belt starts squeaking. no squeaking during start up, so i don't think its the timing belt, even though i have $103k miles. i'm going to get the timing belt done, but can't right now if i have to do the alternator belt.
