Is There an Oil Glut - why not Resume Development to Process our Coal Started by Carter Ended by Reagan?

If the market supports it, then sure, go right ahead. Did Reagan stop coal liquefaction or did he simple end subsidies? Recall, oil and gasoline prices plummeted under Reagan starting six weeks after he eliminated price controls (and six weeks is about the time it takes for oil being pulled out of the ground somewhere else in the world to be refined and shipped to a US terminal).
